2005 will be remembered by many Americans as the Year of the Hurricanes, the most active Atlantic Hurricane Season ever recorded. Of all 14 hurricanes, Hurricane Katrina will go down in the annals of history for its tremendous devastation and loss of human life.

There are many stories of heroism from those difficult days, and one story demonstrates the passion and power of the coalition as well. In the aftermath of Katrina, one CADCA member coalition in Gautier, MS used their unique role in the community to lead a major relief effort to provide families the help they needd to survive....
