JACKSON COUNTY DAYCARE PROJECT
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, many of the daycares along the gulf coast were destroyed. Chevron stepped forward and donated the funds to begin the rebuilding process for many of the daycares. That process has been a success. A year later the Coalition has partnered with Mercy Corps Inc. and has launched a first of its kind daycare search for the parents of children that are in daycares in Jackson County. This database of daycares is now on the Coalition's website informing parents of the services that each daycare offers.
